And for the National Anthem, I don't think it will actually work asking Eicca to write something specifically for Apoland.

No, it didn't work - I asked Eicca in Seattle (semi-jokingly) if he would compose something short that we could use for an anthem for Apoland when I gave him the booklets. He laughed, and said, "Well, we'll have to see about that!" but obviously either didn't take me seriously or just can't take the time. I don't think we should expect anything from him, either.

I like Jane's explanation of World's Collide being the anthem, anyway - it really does fit.

Btw, I would like to make an Apoland t-shirt, because next week I'm going to a concert. I should ask Bengel?

@Miaauu
We have regular chats the first Saturday in each month, where we discuss Apoland. But the chat-room can be used at any time just for chatting. I think there is a "chat-thread" somewhere, where you can post that you are at the chat now, or that you will be there at f.x. 5pm Wednesday. Then people who wanna join can.

You are more than welcome in Apoland. The first thing you should do is to take a tour at the website. Take a look at what we've got and what you think we are missing. That way you will easier be able to chat with us. And you have to tell me (by private message or e-mail), where you want to live and what your work should be. Then I can add you to the site.

Ok I got no clue of how to translate this cake recipe, so I post it in french, and will edit every bit I suceed to translate as it goes.

You lovers of fat-free and no-sugar, protect your eyes, here is coming the Apo/land/lyptica/forum Fondant au chocolat!
(Aka chocolate melting pie)

Pour 6 personnes (For 6 peeps)

200 g de chocolat noir ( 200 g of black chocolate)
150 g de beurre (150g of butter)
150 g de sucre en poudre (150g of power sugar)
65 g d'éclats de noisette (65 g of Hazelnut pieces)
50 g de farine (50 g of wheat flour)
20g d'amandes effilées (20 g of sliced almonds)
3 oeufs (3 eggs)

1 start by put the butter of the fridge in order it's warm and "hard" no more. If you forget, put it in the microwave 10 seconds, it will be easier to work with it

2 In a saucepan, you break the chocolate in fragments to which you add 3 soup-spoons (big spoons) of water, and you put the whole to be melted on low eat in a bain-marie (: in a bigger pan filled with boiling water).

3, meanwhile, in a salad bowl, start to mold the softened butter with a wood spoon till it's a dough, and then add the sugar; continu to mix till this dough become light and smooth, you can also use a blender.. Add then the eggs one by one, alterning with parts of the flour. Be careful if it becomes a sort of "foam", you're lost.

Advise: you have to mix very well the dough between each add, till the product is entirely melted. You can use a blender, carefully because of bubbles.

4 Then, you incorporate into this mixture the molten chocolate with a wood spoon (no blender, no bubbles!), and mix it well, then add the hazelnut pieces. Cover the inside of a pie mould, (or a mould that is not "tall" sized, I mean i's have to be pretty thin), Pour the dough into it, put it in the preheated (150° C for 10 min) oven, during 25 to 30 minutes.

5 In the 10 last minutes, add the sliced alomond on the cake (not to much!). To test the cooking, put a knife in the center of the cake, if there is tiny pieces of the cake just cooked stucked to the blade, it's ready.

The all thing is in the mixing parts. Mix long and slowly.

Thanks, Vordaï! I think I understood almost everything in French

Now I know why I bought a cake form yesterday!
Life is but a walking shadow,
A poor player that struts
And frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard of no more.
It is a tale told by an idiot,
Full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.

The part with the chocolate sounds very good, the rest was impossible to understand. Could somebody maybe translate it to the rest of us non-French speaking people? Please pretty pretty please :P

I'm traducing as well as i can, but it's a bit difficult, so if you have a better translation, don't you hesitate!

@Yelli, no I won't do this at the Olympia, I don't have a kitchen in my hotel room, and I'm not taking the train the day before with a chocolate cake, It will be eaten wayyy before I arrive to the concert hall!

Anyway, I'm kind of questionning: you do write stuff, make drownings, music, painting, I come here and create a cake!

This morning when I put the Green Zebra tomato pic, I thought of new enchilada filling recipe, with jalapenos fo P... >_<

I love cooking, but you may think I'm strange...
